Open, four-wheeled carriage bearing a circular sign reading "RENO INDEPENDENT RELIEF CORPS" rides in a 1916 parade, pulled by a pair of dark harnessed horses that appear to be light-draft or coach-type mounts. The driver, seated on a raised box seat, appears to wear a long coat and a bowler- or homburg-style hat, while the seated women wear Edwardian-era shirtwaists and wide-brim or boater hats typical of the 1910s. A large American flag is mounted at the rear and the vehicle displays wooden-spoked wheels and brass fittings consistent with late 19th- to early 20th-century coachwork.
